CCC
Lifetime Periodontal Care System
The CCC is a lifetime periodontal care system developed by COXO. CCC stands for Check, Clearance and Care. Instead of treating periodontal disease as a single appointment, it organises care into 3 stages and 12 standardised steps. As a result, every patient follows the same clear pathway, from the first health screening to long-term maintenance.
The CCC is a science-guided workflow, not a single machine. It combines professional assessment, biofilm disclosure, gentle ultrasonic debridement, air polishing, remineralisation, and structured recall in one repeatable protocol. The pathway follows guidance on professional mechanical plaque removal from the European Federation of Periodontology. As a result, clinics gain predictability, and patients gain a brighter, healthier smile that lasts.
What is the CCC?
The CCC is COXO's lifetime periodontal care system, built on the health concept of “prevention over treatment”. The three letters stand for Check, Clearance, and Care, and the model is delivered in 3 stages and 12 steps.
Airstream technology removes biofilm before it mineralises into calculus. Ultrasonic scaling and polishing then complete professional plaque and calculus removal. Finally, structured home care and recall turn a single appointment into a lifelong care relationship.
The goal is simple: keep teeth shining bright and lasting like diamonds.
Why traditional periodontal care falls short?
Conventional scaling still delivers value; however, it stops at removal. Three gaps explain most treatment failures in daily practice:
- High recurrence rate. Without systematic post-treatment management, periodontal disease returns.
- Low patient compliance. Insufficient comfort during treatment leads to a poor patient experience.
- Single value. The clinic only sells tartar removal, so it doesn't build a long-term health relationship.
The CCC periodontal care system closes all three gaps. It adds assessment before treatment, comfort during treatment, and a care ecosystem afterwards.
The formation process of dental plaque and calculus
Pellicle formation
Within minutes after cleaning, a thin acquired pellicle forms
on the tooth surface.
Early plaque formation
Bacteria adhere to the pellicle and multiply, forming a soft
plaque layer.
Maturation of plaque
Plaque grows and becomes more complex, with a thick biofilm structure.
Calculus formation
If not removed, plaque mineralizes with calcium and phosphate, becoming tartar (calculus).

"3 Stages & 12 Steps" Standard Procedures
CHECK
Personalized customization from assessment to treatment plan.
CLEAR
Systematically eliminate etiologies and rebuild oral health ecology.
CARE
Lifelong management to build a continuous care ecosystem and lock inlong-term value.
Who benefits from the CCC?
Above all, the CCC works as a complete periodontal care system. Therefore, it creates value on three sides of the same relationship:
5. Targeted Ultrasonic Debridement
Patients: comprehensive periodontal care, a lifelong health guarantee, and convenient, comfortable treatment.
Clinics: higher case acceptance, better patient retention, and recurring revenue through annual agreements.
Dealers: a complete, differentiated solution that is easy to demonstrate and easy to sell.

FAQs
The CCC is COXO's lifetime periodontal care system. CCC stands for Check, Clearance, and Care. It organises periodontal treatment into 3 stages and 12 standardised steps, from health screening to lifelong recall management.
Traditional scaling focuses on tartar removal in a single visit. In contrast, the CCC covers the full journey. It adds risk assessment, biofilm disclosure, gentle debridement, remineralisation, home-care guidance, and scheduled recall. As a result, the team manages recurrence instead of repeating it.
The protocol runs on the COXO PT Master dental scaler and air polisher. It performs ultrasonic debridement plus supra- and subgingival air polishing. In addition, the COXO TP-1 dental polisher handles polishing and remineralisation in step 8.
No. Subgingival air polishing uses fine, low-abrasive powders such as 14 µm erythritol and 25 µm glycine. The 0–10° nozzle angle protects the root surface, so the treatment stays comfortable even inside deep pockets.
