Stage 1: Check

1. Comprehensive Health Screening (medical & smoking history)

2. Precision Intraoral Examination

  • Examination Content: Check for tartar accumulation, dental caries, etc., in the oral cavity

    1. Apply plaque disclosing agent to the entire mouth
    2. Patient gently bites for 30 seconds
       (agent binds to plaque)

4. Periodontal Risk Assessment & Personalized Planning (Natural Teeth)

• Periodontal probing is the "gold standard" for quantifying disease severity. Dentists must use standardized probing techniques and record details for all teeth in the patient's mouth.

Stage 2: Clear
5. Targeted Ultrasonic Debridement (G/P series tips)

• Use PT Master ultrasonic function; Select Scaling (supragingival scaling) or Perio (periodontal treatment) mode; Use P/G series tips to remove surface tartar or plaque.
• Select G series tips for supragingival tartar.
• Use P-series periodontal tips to remove hidden tartar under the gums and in periodontal pockets.
• Use the BOOST function on the wireless foot pedal to remove stubborn tartar.

6. Supragingival Air Polishing (65μm powder)

• Use the PT Master for supragingival air polishing with 65μm powder to remove supragingival tooth stains and small plaque biofilms.

7. Subgingival Biofilm Air Polishing (14μm erythritol / 25μm glycine)

• Switch to subgingival mode and use the ultra-fine 14μm erythritol powder to remove calculus within 1- 4 mm shallow periodontal pockets.
• Use the subgingival nozzle with 25μm glycine powder to remove residual plaque and soft deposits in medium-depth periodontal pockets (4- 6 mm).

8. Polishing & Remineralization

• Install a polishing cup or brush on TP-1; Apply polishing paste evenly on the tooth surface.
• Use TP-1 to polish in the order of "Anterior teeth → Posterior teeth, Buccal side → Lingual side, Supragingival → Gingival margin".
• Apply fluoride or other remineralization materials to protect and reduce post-treatment sensitivity.
• Add fissure sealing and glaze sealing steps for children or patients with special needs.

Stage 3: Care
9. Maxillofacial Myofascial Relaxation

• Communicate with the patient about the purpose of the massage, and mark areas prone to tension such as the masseter and temporalis muscles. 
• Apply soothing gel to perform a maxillofacial myofascial massage for the patient.
• After the massage, communicate with the patient to confirm the effects of muscle relaxation and soreness relief.
• Note the massage item in the medical record and document the patient's comfort feedback.

10. Pre-& Post-Treatment Outcome Comparison

• Check tooth surface smoothness with a mouth mirror.
• Ensure complete removal of disclosing agent, plaque, tartar, etc.
• Ensure no residual plaque/polishing paste.
• Take photos to show pre- and post-treatment comparison results.

11. Home care instructions (plaque detector + manual)

• Care Guidance: Provide and explain the patient-specific "COXO Periodontal Diamond Care Manual", which includes pre- and post-treatment comparison, risk level, home care guidance, etc. 
• Home Self-Examination: Provide patients with a blue-light self-examination device (plaque detector) and explain its use.

12. Follow-up schedule suggestions and management

• Periodontal Health Management: Set follow-up frequency based on risk level; Sign an annual periodontal health management agreement that locks in the cycle and cost of subsequent management services.
• Appointment for Follow-up: Doctors/nurses regularly call patients to schedule the next follow-up based on their periodontal risk level.
